1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped about a cup
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp dried oregano leaves
1 can diced tomatoes, do not drain
1 can red kidney beans, do not drain
In a 3-quart sauce pan, brown beef, onions, and garlic.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat and
cover and simmer for about an hour.
Remove cover and let simmer until desired thickness.
If you serve this with some cornbread slathered in butter, you'll be considered one fine southern cook!!

1 jar pizza sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 can crescent rolls
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook beef and drain. Add pizza sauce.
Spread mixture in 9x13 casserole dish then sprinkle cheese over the top. Open crescent rolls and pull apart, placing them over the cheese.
Bake until the crescent rolls are brown .
Cut and serve.
